 The Naming Game

[Verse]

God brought the creatures one by one

Under the blazing Eden sun

Adam sat there scratching his chin

Thinking where does naming begin

[Verse 2]

A lion roared with a mane so grand

A slithering snake slid across the sand

The elephant stomped with thunderous feet

But Adam paused when he saw the sheep

[Chorus]

Name them all from the skies to the seas

Every beast every bird every buzzing bee

Adam worked till the daylight waned

In the Naming Game his soul remained

[Verse 3]

A parrot squawked a rainbow's hue

The peacock strutted its fancy too

The fish swam silent in the crystal streams

Adam called them names like vivid dreams

[Bridge]

But none could match the ache inside

No beast no bird could stand beside

The lonely heart that longed for more

Adam’s soul cried out to heaven’s door

[Chorus]

Name them all from the skies to the seas

Every beast every bird every buzzing bee

Adam worked till the daylight waned

In the Naming Game his soul remained
